Exmouth Exodus, raising money for Transition Keynsham


In August both David and Mark will be taking part in the Exmouth Exodus bike ride to raise much needed funds for Transition Keynsham.  The Exodus ride is an overnight bike ride from Clifton to Exmouth, a total of around 100 miles with a few hills along the way!

Transition Keynsham is a not for profit organisation and relies heavily on donations to keep projects running in Keynsham.  If you would like to sponsor Mark and David you can by clicking our donate button below which will take you to our secure Paypal page, please leave comments of encouragement below, (they might just need it!)

Traditional Wisdom of Ecological Living with Mike Feingold – free talk


Mike Feingold will be talking on Sunday the 12th May from 7.30 – 9.30pm at the Baptist Church, High Street, Keynsham.  Entry is free

Offering an exploration of sustainability as practiced in traditional communities around the world. An inspirational and informative slideshow based on a lifetimes work on community led regeneration and self-suffiency. Full of valuable insights and inspiration into creating healthy and vibrant local systems to meet the needs of a community.  Mike’s Bio: For over 20 years Mike Feingold <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3R1BZVnD4M> has been teaching *Permaculture to and learning from communities around the world including Nepal , India , Palestine , Kenya and beyond. He has also been maintaining an inspiring Permaculture allotment in Bristol for most of that time. He is a founder member of the Bristol Permaculture Group and organiser of the Glastonbury Festival Permaculture demonstration garden. Mike is one of the UK ’s leading experts in sustainable and experimental gardening.

*Permaculture is the use of ecological design to create self-maintaining agrticultural & social systems modeled on natural ecosystems. Others say it is ‘revolution disguised as gardening’.

Energy group visit to Tellisford Mill


The energy group are planning a visit to Tellisford Mill on 18th May.

The visit to the mill will include, a tour of the site, a talk and a film. Anyone is welcome to join them and costs £10 per head. If you would like to be part of a car share, they will be arranging them from Keynsham leaving about 1.30pm
