A morning of hands-on fun for all the community
At the last Keynsham Farmers Market (to be found every 2nd Saturday of the month by the clocktower) we planted a community bee and butterfly patch with beneficial herbs, plants and flowers. We found it very empowering to transform a little patch of Keynsham and do something to help the struggling bees. Much more productive and pleasant than moaning how no-body ever does anything to make the world a nicer place.
As well as planting the patch we held a children’s butterfly wand making workshop, gave away free seeds in re-cycled containers, had a DIY wormery and other composters with the ‘Love food, Hate Waste!’ campaign for people to explore and David & Martin were on standby to pass on their bicycle maintenance know-how!
